Rangers fans snap up Steven Gerrard 'smug' masks as Scots firm cash in on title charge

An Ayrshire graphic design firm is cashing in on Rangers' charge towards the SPFL Premiership title by selling Steven Gerrard 'smug' face masks.

Auld Lang Signs, based in Irvine, began flogging the novelty coverings featuring the Gers boss yesterday after the Ibrox side hammered Ross County 5-0 to go 23 points clear of Celtic at the top of the Premiership table.

And Bluenoses weren't slow on the uptake with dozens quick to register their interest via the company's Facebook page.

One potential customer asked: "Do you print them in rows of 10?"

The masks, £7 each plus £1.95 for postage and packaging, are available now from the company's workshop in Dreghorn, Irvine.

Auld Lang Signs have hit the headlines on numerous occasions since the coronavirus outbreak last March.

Last April, boss Graham Crawley launched wheelie bin stickers poking fun at life in lockdown with the slogan: “2020 The year ma wheelie bin went oot mair than me.”

He also gave away hundreds of free poppy stickers in November to pay special tribute to our fallen heroes.
