Rangers fans light up the world's tallest building in Dubai with '55' title tribute

Dubai-based Rangers supporters have paid tribute to Steven Gerrard and their players after the club's Premiership title triumph by beaming a special tribute onto the world's tallest building.

The Ibrox club lifted their first Premiership trophy since 2011 yesterday afternoon after thrashing Aberdeen 4-0, with the result ensuring Gerrard and his squad finish the season without losing a single league match.

And a group of Emirates-based fans have been celebrating the achievement over in the Gulf by lighting up the Burj Khalifa with a pretty magnificent toast to Scotland's new champions.

Standing at 2,717 feet tall with 160 floors, the hotel and Dubai's main attraction remains the tallest structure ever built, but that was no problem for dedicated group as they projected a display which took observers through the years up to the club's 55th title this weekend.
