Rangers fans in brutal Celtic wind-up as they make Seville Suite request ahead of Europa League final

Rangers fans have been noising up Celtic by asking to hire out the 'Seville Suite' for 18 May - the date of their Europa League final.

Gio van Bronckhorst and his team head out to Spain next week as they take on Eintracht Frankfurt in their bid for a second ever European trophy.

Ironically the final takes place in the same city in which Celtic had their last European final.

Martin O'Neill's team lost to Porto in the UEFA Cup in 2003 but the run is fondly remembered.

Despite coming up just short fans will never forget the run that ended at the hands of Jose Mourinho's men as they earned a FIFA Fair Play award for their conduct and the club moved to name a Parkhead hospitality suite after it.

But it seems Rangers fans have begun a wind-up nearly two decades in the making as they prepare to try and go one better than their rivals and win the trophy in the same city.

To hilarity on social media, one fan rung Celtic up and asked if the Seville Suite was available on 18 May.

The request was unsurprisingly rejected with the fan noting the receptionist was "not friendly in the slightest."

Another Ger later claimed their call had been redirected to voicemail after staff had cottoned on.

Rangers remain underdogs to lift the trophy despite already seeing off Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in a gruelling run to the final.

They face Hearts in the Scottish Cup final just days later as they eye a famous double.
