Rangers fans impressed by Joe Aribo after superb goal against Motherwell

Joe Aribo thoroughly impressed Rangers fans with his showing on Wednesday night.

The likes of Brandon Barker, Borna Barisic and Ianis Hagi all came in for plaudits as Motherwell were beaten 4-0 at Ibrox, but it was Aribo who scored the game's best goal.

In the final minute of the first half he pulled off intricate one-twos with Alfredo Morelos and Hagi before showing good technique to shift the ball onto his left foot and slot it home.

It was the highlight of a performance from the 24-year-old that has fans of Steven Gerrard's side expecting big things this season.

Here's what supporters have been saying about the English midfielder.

"Messi has posters of Joe Aribo on his walls" - @TIBradley2

"Another superb performance for Joe Aribo. He was only on field for half the match but I thought he made a big impression. His power, quick feet and vision were superb. The skill he showed in the build up to his goal was outstanding . Hope he can avoid injury" - @BluenoseRangers1

"You could watch that Aribo goal for the rest of the night instead of the second half, tbh." - @CemetryGates89

"I think if Joe Aribo really has the desire and belief in himself he could play at any level! Potential to be our best midfielder for many years" - @JimMcfadyen1

"Front three all been absolutely brilliant, but Joe Aribo the standout again. Big man has retained the silk and added a good amount of strength, he's been excellent in every game" - @Pena_Cartel

"Aribo making himself undroppable" - @aberlourbear

"Joe Aribo going to the very top" - @Marky_RFC

"Lionel Messi who? I only know Joe Aribo" - @RampantRyanJack

Rangers are next in action against Coventry City at Ibrox on Saturday.
