Rangers fans hit out as fixture list sees them sent on 360-mile round trip to Dingwall on CHRISTMAS EVE

The anticipation is like Christmas for football fans - the day the new fixture list is released.

But learning where Rangers will be going at Christmas didn't go down too well with some supporters.

If travelling fans are taken into consideration over the festive period then the Ibrox legions need to be convinced.

For the Light Blues face their longest possible away day on Christmas Eve.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst and his men head to Dingwall to face Ross County with a full Scottish Premiership card on December 24.

Gers title defence stuttered in the Highlands last season when they were held to a 3-3 draw in a thriller.

And fans on social media aren't too happy at the timing of their next trip to the Global Energy Stadium.

One wrote: "Dingwall on Christmas Eve. That'll be a few Christmas dinners ruined."

Another said: "A trip to Dingwall on Christmas Eve screams 'for the fans'."

While one fan simply said: "Christmas is cancelled."

Three years ago the Motherwell had to travel to Dingwall on Christmas Day for a Boxing Day fixture at Ross County while the Staggies were away at Hearts on December 26 last season, although that game was behind closed doors due to Covid.
