Rangers fans fireworks title celebration launched in 55th minute of Livingston clash near stadium

Rangers supporters have let off fireworks on the 55th minute of their clash with Livingston causing disruption to tonight's match.

Pictures show the rockets going off close to fans, police and photographers in one of the stands of the Toni Macaroni Arena.

What looks to be hundreds have gathered to watch the game, with the fireworks going off within the crowd.

The Light Blue s will lift their 55th league title on Saturday- the first major silverware for the Ibrox side for years.

Rangers fans let off fireworks as they celebrate victory from their position outside the ground after the Scottish Premiership match at the Tony Macaroni Arena, Livingston (PA)

But fans have begun their celebrations early, letting off the explosives after Rangers netted their first goal against Livingston on the 55th minute.

It is thought hundreds of Rangers supporters made the trip to Lothian despite coronavirus restrictions not allowing any into the stadium to watch the game.

There were similar scenes when the sides clashed earlier this season, when the Ibrox men won 1-0 and fireworks were set off by fans.

Rangers won tonight's match 3-0 with goals from Tavernier, Kent and Hagi to continue their unbeaten run.

Police Scotland Sergeant Jim Gowling said: "An investigation is under way after several pyrotechnics were let off during the Livingston v Rangers game. The inquiry will involve officers reviewing extensive CCTV footage to identify those involved in this reckless and dangerous behaviour."
