Rangers fans erupt as Aaron Ramsey greets crowds at Ibrox

This is the moment Rangers FC fans erupted as Aaron Ramsey greeted them outside Ibrox stadium.

The 31-year-old was met with a roaring crowd in one of the doorways after his dramatic deadline-day signing.

Tense video footage shows a large group of Gers fans patiently waiting for the newest addition to the squad to make an appearance.

A sea of mobile phones were recording as Rangers officials loitered around the doorway, not giving anything away as to when the midfielder would show face.

Around one minute into the clip one fan shouted, hurry up' while another jested, 'Is he there?'.

The cluster soon fell silent and, seconds later, Ramsey emerged from inside Ibrox.

Roaring cheers erupted as fans welcomed the newest member of Giovanni van Bronckhorst 's squad to Glasgow's southside.

A beaming Ramsey stepped out donning his light blue jersey which was a real crowd-pleaser.

Fans were even more elated when he posed, lifting a Rangers FC scarf into the air, before turning round to show off his shirt from the back.

The Welsh footie star gave a quick thumbs up while grinning ear-to-ear before heading back inside.

Car horns can be heard tooting in the background, egging on the keen fans who turned out for the occasion.
