Rangers fans claim Alfredo Morelos branded 'black b******' as new racism row erupts

Rangers fans are up in arms over a clip they claim proves striker Alfredo Morelos on the receiving end of more sickening racist abuse.

Steven Gerrard's side took on Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening and lost the game 2-1 thanks to a late comeback from the Ayrshire side.

In the wake of the match, popular Rangers blog 'Four Lads Had a Dream' shared an audio clip from the game that went viral.

As Morelos goes to take a throw-in in the 28th minute, fans insist they can hear a man shouting 'black b*****d' at the striker, who doesn't appear to react.

The audio does appear to be inconclusive but fans are adamant the clip is clear evidence of further racial abuse.

The claims were given further weight by a tweet from a Kilmarnock fan who posted she had heard the slur.

The tweet was published at 20:17pm which would have been around four minutes after the incident is alleged to have taken place.

Another fan replied to the tweet with footage of the TV coverage, which was spread far and wide to the outrage of supporters.

The news comes after several alleged incidents of racism suffered by Morelos.

Earlier this week a 12-year-old boy was charged and reported in connection with an alleged racist chant directed at Morelos during the Old Firm derby on December 29.

A Hearts supporter and two Aberdeen fans were also charged with making racist remarks.
