Rangers fans chief personally scrubs off graffiti at Celtic club and blasts vandals

An outraged Rangers fans chief personally scrubbed off graffiti at a Celtic supporters club after vandals struck on Old Firm day.

David Black, chairman of the Irvine Rangers Supporters Club, rushed to his rivals' aid this morning after kerbs outside the No 1 Celtic Supporters Club in Irvine, Ayrshire were painted red and blue.

Armed with a brush, David made the two minute walk from his Gers base and scrubbed the kerbs while others cleaned off slogans daubed on walls.

A massive 'RFC' was sprayed at the entrance to the building in the town's Bridgegate.

David said:"I passed the Celtic club at 6.30am and saw the mess.

"It's absolutely ridiculous and can't be condoned in any circumstances.

"I was only too happy to go along and help clean it up along with several other people who were there at the time.

"There's no need for this kind of thing at all."

The vandals are believed to have struck in the early hours of the morning.
