Rangers fans branded 'knuckle-draggers' over vile chants about 'Fenians' and Lisbon Lions on Dutch telly

This is the moment Rangers fans start singing vile chants about 'Fenians' and the Lisbon Lions on Dutch television.

The horrific slurs were made while were in Rotterdam ahead of the side's Europa League clash against Feyenoord, which ended in a 2 - 2 draw.

It came when an interviewer for Netherlands media outlet Rijnmond spoke to travelling fans in the city and asked them to sing a "Glasgow song".

In response, two yobs sung "Lisbon Lions won't see ten in a row" while others chanted "kick a fenian in the head and we'll petrol bomb his home".

At one point a fellowsupporter standing nearby walks away with a disgusted look on his face.

It was a far cry from the start of the segment when the answers from Rangers fans were much more well-mannered.

The comments have since been slammed, with anti-sectarian charity Nil by Mouth saying the fans "drag the name of the club through the mud."

A spokesperson said: "When fans go abroad they put on the jersey and represent the club, and what’s happened tonight is clearly unacceptable and drags the name of the club through the mud.

“We’ve heard Rangers make a number of statements that behaviour like this is unacceptable, and the club have been sanctioned by UEFA.

"These people are laughing in the face of the club, in the face of the chairman and the manager, and all the people who have come out and asked them to stop doing this.”

“Rangers have to try and identify those involved, strip them of season tickets, and ensure these knuckle-draggers never darken the doors of Ibrox again.”

It came after a video emerged of violence erupting in the centre of Amsterdam on Wednesday night where Rangers fans were drinking ahead of the game.

A video widely circulated on social media shows men brawling outside a pub in Dam Square, an area popular with tourists heading to  The Netherlands  biggest city.

The clip starts by showing one man strike another across the face with what looks to be a drink.

It then spills on to the street with more individuals getting involved.

The brawl is eventually broken up by  Dutch police  who attempt to pull the men apart.
