Rangers fans at George Square: Police have made more than 50 arrests since title party disorder

Police Scotland have this afternoon advised they have made over 50 arrests in connection with the scenes at George Square following Rangers' title victory on May 15.

Hundreds gathered at the square, where celebrations became disorderly and people were injured, including 47 injuries to police officers.

The police have today (Monday) advised a 37-year-old man, 31-year-old man, 29-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with the disorder.

Each of them are due to appear at court at a later date.

There have now been a total of 53 arrests in connection with events at George Square and one at Ibrox.

A Police Scotland statement issued this afternoon advises: "A 37-year-old man, 31-year-old man, 29-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"They have been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
