Rangers signed Calvin Bassey on a pre-contract from Leicester City but it came as a surprise to the majority of Light Blues fans.
A welcome one at that, however.
The 20-year-old, who can play left-back or centre-half, penned a four-year-deal with the Ibrox club and became Steven Gerrard's second addition of the summer.
There wasn't any speculation that Rangers were closing in on the youngster's signature and supporters all had the same reaction after the announcement was made.
