Rangers fans all draw the same Celtic parallels after Jordan Jones and George Edmundson bans

Rangers have questioned the consistency of the SFA after handing Jordan Jones and George Edmundson each a seven-match ban for their Covid breach.

The Rangers pair were were caught at a gathering inside a property on Glasgow's Devonshire Terrace in the early hours of the morning on Monday, November 2.

The players were suspended by the Ibrox club and now the governing body have issued them a suspension of seven matches.

Rangers supporters believe they deserved to be punished, but they have questioned why they received harsher treatment compared to Celtic's Boli Bolingoli and the Aberdeen 8, who were only handed three-match bans for their respective coronavirus scandals.

@KelmanPeter said: "Deserved and will never play for the club again but why were the previous players let off lighter?"

@Colin_George added: "Fully agree with the ban. However, where is the consistency? Celtic and Aberdeen players?"

@thechosenfew10 tweeted: "Was that the same punishment the Celtic and Aberdeen players received? Thanks."

@JamesScrimgeour said: "One thing that is consistent is the consistency of being unconsistant constantly."

@proindygers added: "Fully deserved punishment for these two clowns. Would love someone to explain why their punishment is much more severe than any of the others before them though."

@waynefawcett tweeted: "Why didn’t the Celtic and Aberdeen players get the same ban."
