A Rangers fan from the east coast was left baffled when his Glasgow Airbnb booking was rejected due to his ‘lack of experience’.
Ryan Brown, from East Lothian, tried to book accommodation for next weekend, when Rangers are set to lift their first league title in 10 years.
However, his plans were scuppered when the property host decided to reject his booking, explaining that he didn’t have enough “experience” to merit a stay.
Ryan, from Tranent, was shocked by the reason and responded to the host saying he was looking for a room, not a job interview.
Ryan posted a screenshot of the peculiar interaction on Twitter on Tuesday writing: “Trying to sort a gaff in Glasgow for the 15th and I’ve been turned down due to lack of experience… “

The screenshot shows the owner of the Airbnb denying Ryan’s request to stay, writing: “Unfortunately I only accept guests with previous reviews.”
Confused, Ryan replied: “I want a room in Glasgow mate, not a job interview.”
Ryan’s tweet has since gone viral on Twitter with his post now holding over 24,000 likes and more than 1,000 retweets.
Dozens of social media users left messages on the post.
