Rangers fan hailed 'best of the best' dies suddenly as devastated family and friends pay tribute

Tributes are pouring in for a Scots dad who died suddenly.

Rangers fan Scott Docherty tragically passed away on Thursday.

The 31-year-old, from Glasgow, has been hailed as the 'best of the best' and 'one of the kindest souls'.

Devastated loved ones took to social media to pay tribute to the devoted light-blues supporter.

Scott's sister, Sharon Walker, wrote: "Our family lost someone we love so much.

"My brother, my mum and dad's son."

Another relative posted: "I will miss my Uncle Scott.

"He was a good man.

One loved one commented: "One of the kindest souls ever.

"He would constantly put others first."

A fourth posted: "He was the best of the best.

"Always will be."

A GoFundMe page has been launched to help with the cost of Scott's funeral.

In just eight hours over £2,000 has been raised.

The organiser, Gillian McNeil, released a statement on the page.

It read: "I am raising money to help Scott's family through this difficult time and to help towards any funeral costs. 


"Any donation will be greatly appreciated 


"Rest in Peace, my boy.
"Until we meet again."
