Rangers fan fear for Braga clash as UEFA consider punishment over Wolves' concerns

UEFA could punish Rangers' Europa League rivals Braga after Wolves filed an official complaint over the treatment of their supporters.

The English Premier League side took 6000 fans to Portugal for the 3-3 draw and many contact the club to criticise the tactics employed.

Some of the accusations include baton charges at children and older fans, delayed entry to the game and personal items such as phone charges, flags and bags were taken from them.

And now - according to the Daily Mail - UEFA will meet with Braga chiefs to discuss the issue over the handling of the fixture.

That includes ticketing, security and the level of their stewarding staff.

Rangers are also expected to take a similar number of fans to Braga and will be watching on with interest to discover their opponent's fate when the governing body reveals their decision.

The Ibrox support already have experience of Portugal after a large travelling support were in attendance against Porto in October.

Steven Gerrard's men were drawn with Braga in the round of 32 and will travel to Portugal on February 26.

The first leg will take place at Ibrox seven days earlier.
