A Rangers supporter insists it's pure good fortune that nobody was seriously injured or even killed as hundreds were locked out of the opening stages of their side's win at Kilmarnock .
Travelling supporters were left seething after missing the opening 15 minutes of the game due to a problem with the turnstiles in the away end.
Video footage showed police standing guard as the crowd grew increasingly frustrated behind a gate between the turnstiles and the street outside.
An earlier video shows the gate is then opened and fans are seen flooding in.
One Rangers supporter, James Mathewson, got in touch with the Daily Record to slam Kilmarnock's handling of the situation - claiming not nearly enough turnstiles had been opened to deal with the volume of supporters.
He also said the outcome of the shambles could have been far worse.
Mr Mathewson said: "Along with hundreds of other fans I missed the first 10 minutes, who in the right mind decides to have five turnstiles for 4500 fans? I was there from 1pm queuing and as it got closer to kick off there was a crush where it’s lucky there was no one seriously injured.
"The situation could of ended up a lot worse and both clubs needs to do something about this.

"The way the police handled this situation was absolutely awful and could have led to fatalities, police horses were moved extremely close to fans that we were being pushed tighter together too.
"The whole process of betting your ticket scanned was taking about a minute per person because the stadium is that outdated. It was by luck today that there wasn’t any fatalities and no one fell or got trampled."
Rangers have since urged the Ayrshire club to probe the issue.
The club's supporters liaison officer, Greg Marshall, wrote on Twitter: "The club are aware of incidents prior to the match where a ticketing access failure led to large number of supporters remaining outside at kick off.
"We have requested Kilmarnock investigate this issue."
Police Scotland and Kilmarnock FC have been approached for comment.
