Rangers' Europa League squad confirmed for Bayer Leverkusen tie as rule means new signings miss out

Rangers have named their squad for the upcoming Europa League clash with Bayer Leverkusen.

Steven Gerrard's side are heading out to Germany for the second leg of their last 16-clash, looking to overturn a 3-1 deficit.

UEFA rules mean that none of the club's new signings can be registered, so Leon Balogun, Jon McLaughlin and Calvin Bassey will miss out.

However Gerrard can add players who were registered with the club at the time of the first leg, so Filip Helander, Andy Firth and Jordan Jones come in.

Wes Foderingham, Matt Polster, Andy Halliday, Sheyi Ojo and Florian Kamberi have all departed since the first match.

The Rangers squad is as follows: Allan McGregor, Andy Firth, James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, George Edmundson, Filip Helander, Borna Barisic, Ianis Hagi, Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Ryan Kent, Glen Kamara, Brandon Barker, Scott Arfield, Jordan Jones, Jermain Defoe, Joe Aribo, Alfredo Morelos, Greg Stewart.

The match will kick-off at 5.55pm on Wednesday.
