Rangers Europa League opponents Braga reveal unusual inspiration as boss makes 'different world' admission

Ruben Amorim reveals that Braga will use a beach football team as inspiration for their Europa League adventures.

The Liga Nos side take on Rangers at Ibrox on Thursday, having stunned league leaders Benfica with a 1-0 win at the weekend.

And their manager has admitted they'll be using Braga's beach football team, who have been crowned Club World Cup champions, as inspiration.

Amorim told Diário do Minho: "The beach football team is the best that Braga has, the one that wins the most trophies. It's an example to all of us."

Braga are unbeaten since Amorim took over, and didn't lose in the Europa League group stages as they finished above Wolves.

However, the coach is keen to ensure that expectations don't get out of hand.

He said: "We know it's a completely different world for us, we have to take it one game at a time and we know we're a long way from the size of the clubs that are in the Europa League.

"We won't lose track of what we've done so far, we know it took a lot of work and we deserve credit but also that there are phases in football where everything goes well.

"We're not going to lose focus, we'll take each game as it comes and try to win it."
