Rangers duo Jordan Jones and George Edmundson could leave on loan with club open to offers

Rangers are open to sending Jordan Jones and George Edmundson out on loan this month.

The pair haven’t played for Steven Gerard since being hit with seven game bans for breaching Covid protocols.

There remains major doubts over their Ibrox futures, and they could be set to continue their careers away from Glasgow, at least for the rest of this season.

And that would see them miss out on a potential Scottish Premiership title party.

If deals suit both the club and players, Gers director of football Ross Wilson is prepared to send both away on a temporary basis in order to get them playing.

The Daily Record reports that clubs in the English Championship and League One are on alert for Jones and Edmundson becoming available.

The duo have only made five appearances in light blue between them this campaign - four for Jones and one for Edmunson.

As for any arrivals, Rangers are free to speak to Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram.

His Blades deal is up at the end of the season and it’s thought Rangers are keen to try and sign him, although will likely face stiff competition from down south.

A deal got teenage Colombian hotshot Juan Alegria is also expected to be finalsied this month.
