Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr has blasted the British Government for robbing of Rangers stars Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun for their vital World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde.
And he has accused UK authorities of double standards after pointing out a rule change for Qatar 2022 qualifiers from Euro 2020.
The Super Eagles have called up Aribo and Old Firm man of the match Balogun for their double-header of World Cup games this week against Liberia and Cape Verde.
But UK-based players aren't being allowed to play the second game in Mindelo, on the island of Sao Vicente, because Cape Verde is on their red list.
It means Rangers duo Aribo, Balogun and other UK-based stars won't be able to play in a vital qualifier...much to the frustration of German boss Rohr.
He said: "It's difficult to understand why England, for example, were allowed exemptions for the Euros, but the UK won't for these World Cup games.
"They were able to change everything at the Euros when England hosted it, but they can't do anything here for the World Cup players.
"It's extremely important for every country and decisions like this tarnish the competition.
"We are preparing the team as best as possible, but we will not have some of our best players.
"All our midfielders will not be there. Our central defence also will not be there. So it will not be easy against a very difficult team like Cape Verde."
