Kris Boyd has backed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to have a "big say" this season, following the signing of his one-year extension at Celtic.
The former England international joined the club in February, scoring a last-minute goal on his debut against Livingston. Despite becoming a free agent at the end of the campaign, the Premiership champions decided to offer him another deal.
Despite being in and out of the team, former Rangers striker and pundit Boyd believes the experienced midfielder will thrive at Celtic. "Oxlade-Chamberlain will have a big say next season," he told the Scottish Sun.

"He hadn't played a lot of games when he arrived at Celtic last season. He's had four or five months towards the end of the season. He was in and out of the team and scored some big goals.
"With a proper preseason, Celtic will see somebody who can have more of an influence in games once he's up to speed, training, and playing games. He'll be ready for the start of the season.
"While a lot of Celtic fans might moan about the transfer because he didn't play much last season, it is a good signing."
