BBC Scotland's coverage of Rangers' Europa League play-off suffered a bizarre malfunction on Thursday night.
Technical difficulties struck the live feed from the clash in Armenia and cut back to an in-studio shot that left viewers - likely to include Steven Gerrard who was forced to watch at home as he self isolates - bewildered.
With the second leg in Yerevan winding towards a conclusion, footage of the game was replaced by an unknown individual in a BBC studio.
The man on-screen initially appeared not to be unaware he was being broadcast live to the nation and was joined briefly in the shot by a woman who quickly moved out of the way.
Mind you, you must simply say 'fair play' for refusing to panic knowing you've just appeared in front of tens of thousands desperate to see the closing stages of a crucial European tie.
The coverage eventually returned and commentator Liam McLeod issued an apology to viewers.
@goalskirkwood said: "Not sure what happened to my @BBCiPlayer during the Rangers game but going to the studio to see some bloke idly standing wearing a headset and mask was far more interesting than the match itself."
@Steve_JN_Smith wrote: " BBC Scotland’s coverage of the Alashkert v Glasgow Rangers game just got interrupted by live images of a man. The man became increasingly uncomfortable as it dawned on him that he was on live TV. There was also a woman but she ran off leaving the man on his own. Great stuff."
@KingyXP wrote: "Not the Rangers game cutting to a random news studio during the match with everyone looking confused."
@gerrycampbell: "Not sure for what reason this guy is in shock... it's either the fact he just went live accidentally on BBC or was it the Rangers score?"
@BigDaz84: "This was the most exciting part of the game."
Gerrard 's side secured a goalless draw to progress to the group stage, having won the first leg 1-0 at Ibrox last week.
