Rangers could land Florian Kamberi on the cheap but face competition for Hibs striker

Hull City have made the first move as Hibs striker Florian Kamberi's future remains up in the air.

Rangers reportedly remain interested after taking him to Ibrox on loan last season, with Record Sport today reporting that a fee of £150,000 would be enough to secure a permanent deal.

English Championship side Hull City, however, are believed to have already had bids rejected by the Easter Road club.

The 25-year-old Albanian has scored 30 goals in 84 games for Hibs.

Meanwhile, a study based on Premiership matches from 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2019/20 revealed this week that Rangers receive more penalties than any other side in the top flight.

On average, Rangers are awarded one spot kick every 411 minutes, converting 87% of them.

The study, which was reported in The Herald and conducted by the CIES Football Observatory report, says Hamilton Accies were second in the table with an average of one penalty every 477 minutes.

Celtic were down in seventh, receiving one penalty every 681 minutes.

Their conversion rate was also considerably lower than that of Rangers, at just 71.4%.
