Rangers have confirmed the return of Allan McGregor as goalkeeping coach.

The former Ibrox shotstopper served the club with distinction over two spells, and as briefly a coach under the interim spell of Barry Ferguson the season before last.

The club hero now returns as a goalkeeping coach under new boss Derek McInnes, after Sal Bibbo moved on to Coventry City.

A Rangers statement said: "Former Rangers goalkeeper, and Hall of Fame inductee, Allan McGregor has joined the club as lead goalkeeping coach, replacing Sal Bibbo.

"Welcome back, Allan!"

There has been much change at Ibrox, far beyond Derek McInnes replacing Danny Rohl. The former Hearts boss took Paul Sheerin and Alan Archibald with him, as well as fellow coach Craig Clark from Kilmarnock.

After a big impact last season, set-piece coach Scott Fry has moved on to Birmingham City, with Bibbo also heading back to England.
