RANGERS have confirmed the signing of Tom Lawrence.
The creative playmaker has agreed a free transfer switch to Ibrox after leaving Derby.
Herald and Times Sport exclusively reported the interest in Lawrence from the Ibrox club and revealed Rangers had pipped Sheffield United to his signature last night.
Lawrence, 28, left Derby- where he was captain - after relegation to League One and has now finalised his move to Ibrox.
The Manchester United youth graduate has also turned out for the likes of Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town during his career south of the border.
But now he has signed terms in Glasgow as he joins John Souttar and Antonio Colak as Giovanni van Bronckhorst bolsters his squad in the summer.
Lawrence - who plays for the Welsh national team - told the club website: “I am delighted to have joined Rangers and I’m excited to get started.
“The club is known worldwide for its history, successes and fan base and I look forward to being part of that going forward and getting to play in front of the supporters at Ibrox.”
Van Bronckhorst added: “I am really pleased we have been able to secure the signing of Tom and he will further add to our attacking options.
“He has gained valuable experience over a number of years with Derby County and I look forward to working with him this season.”
And sporting director Ross Wilson said: “I would like to welcome Tom to Rangers, it is great to have him joining the squad this summer.
“He is another strong addition to the group ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.”
