Rangers confirm Danny Rohl’s departure – who is favourite to replace him as manager?

  • Rangers have confirmed the departure of head coach Danny Rohl to Red Bull Salzburg by mutual agreement.
  • The 37-year-old German will take charge of the Austrian Bundesliga club after a seven-figure compensation package was agreed between the clubs.
  • Performance manager Sascha Lense and first-team analyst Tristan Steiner also departed Ibrox alongside Rohl.
  • Chairman Andrew Cavenagh thanked Rohl and his staff for their service and commitment to Rangers.
  • Hearts manager Derek McInnes is expected to be named as Rohl's successor, with a further update from the club anticipated.
