The Rangers have claimed right-hander Brady Dragmire from the Pirates. Dragmire, 23, was taken in the 17th round in 2011 by the Blue Jays.
He was acquired by the Pirates in October. He pitched his first season in Double A in 2016. He was 4-6 with one save and a 4.38 ERA in 72 innings over 45 relief appearances. He struck out 41 and walked 28. He spent three seasons in rookie ball before moving to Class A in 2014 when he had a 2.92 ERA and 45 strikeouts and nine walks in 77 innings. He was last used as a starter in 2013.
The Phillies acquired left-hander David Rollins on a waiver claim. Rollins has gone from the Mariners, where he pitched in 11 games in 2016 to the Cubs then Rangers on Nov. 22, and now the Phillies this winter.
The Rangers' 40-man roster remains at 40.
