Rangers' Champions League rivals use SPFL club as training base

Club Brugge used the facilities of an SPFL club today as ahead of their preparations for the first leg of their Champions League play-off against Rangers.

Russell Martin's side are in action against the Belgian giants at Ibrox this evening, as they aim to make home advantage count in the tie.

Rangers are potentially just 180 minutes away from securing their passage to the league phase of the Champions League, and the £40m riches this would unlock.

They'll have to overcome experienced UCL side Club Brugge if they're to make it into UEFA's top club competition, rather than drop down to the league phase of the Europa League.

Ahead of the game, Brugge have trained at Cappielow in Greenock, as revealed by Scottish Championship Morton.

A post on their official X account reads: "It was a pleasure to welcome @ClubBrugge to Cappielow Park supported by Dalrada Technology this morning for some final preparation ahead of their Champions League play-off tie against Rangers tonight."

The Ton accompanied the post with a picture of officials from both clubs in the centre circle at the famous old ground.

Footage on Club Brugge's X account showed their players doing some light jogging, before doing a bit of ball work on the pitch.

Rangers' clash with Brugge kicks-off at 8pm tonight.
