"We deemed it the right one 90 days ago, with bringing some players in, bringing the management team in, the leadership team.
"So, it's up to you guys to ignore the noise in the same way that they're going to.
"We'll do everything we possibly can to win today and just keep winning moving forward."
As well as Cavenagh, Martin discussed Nicolas Raskin and his future after he was left out of Rangers' derby day squad.
He said [Sky Sports]: "Every decision I make is not about me, is not about individual players because no one is bigger than the club.
"Every decision we make and I make as the head coach is for what I deem to be the best for the team on that given day.
"I have picked a squad today that will always put the team first, will be capable of winning this game and be together on the pitch.
"Outside of that, all my energy is on them."
