Both Rangers and Celtic have been urged to look into a new partnership in the United States of America.
A familiar face to Scottish football, Martk Warburton, has told either half of the Glasgow divide to sort out a cross-Atlantic partnership because of the need to expand their recruitment catchment.
The former Gers boss is the new sporting director and head of soccer for USL franchise Sporting Club Jacksonville.
He lands the job in Florida after most recently being a part of David Moyes' backroom staff at West Ham United.
Warburton will appoint the head coaches of the men's, women's and youth teams, as he takes a hands-on approach in the States.
“Every club in the world is looking for bigger recruitment talent, bigger player pools," he told the Scottish Sun. “It’s about creating player pathways.
“I can see how partnerships work and, of course, any partnership has to be two ways.
“When you talk about major British clubs, Rangers and Celtic are global institutions with global fan bases.
“So absolutely, you would be very fortunate to partner with these types of clubs. It’s only a matter of time before it’s taken forward.”
