Rangers-bound Jordan Jones in social media spat as Jai Quitongo fires Celtic warning

Jordan Jones has become involved in a social media spat with former Morton and Partick Thistle player Jai Quitongo.

The winger will leave Kilmarnock at the end of the season before joining Rangers after agreeing a pre-contract deal back in January.

The Northern Ireland international took to Twitter to salute the performance of Tottenham star Son Heung-Min as Spurs squeezed past Manchester City in an epic Champions League clash.

But his post about the South Korean international led to a response from to Quitongo who queried Jones' claim about Son being the best Asian player of all time.

The pair then traded barbs with Quitongo, who now plays in Iran, warning the future Rangers that Celtic aren't going anywhere.

Here's what happened.

Jones wrote on Twitter: "Greatest Asian footballer ever. Anyone reply’s with Park Ji Sung will be blocked."

But former Morton man Quitongo responded: "Nakamura is the best Asian player ever FACT."

And that led to Jones turning the heat up with his next response, he said: "Oooooo look at me, I’m a Celtic fan and all the Celtic fans will like my tweet oooooo, grow up mate."

But Quitongo had the final word as he replied: "Oh we’re a Rangers man now. Careful mate, you’re not in Glasgow yet, enjoy watching 10iar brother."

The Kilmarnock wide man was slaughtered earlier this season for his 'WATP' tweet after signing his pre-contract with the Ibrox giants.

The 24-year-old has made 40 appearances for club and country this season and netted the winner against his future employers back in January.
