Rangers boss Steven Gerrard not planning move for Airdrie starlet

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is not in the market for Airdrie starlet Thomas Robert, it has been claimed.

The French winger was reportedly attracting interest from both sides of the Old Firm, with Celtic scouting the player at least twice in recent months.

But any notion of the 20-year-old moving to the blue half of Glasgow appears to have been put to bed.

Lanarkshire Live Sport yesterday revealed that Airdrie believed the lower league suspension would put the brakes on any move for their prized asset.

And a report today claims an Ibrox source has insisted Robert is not on Gerrard's list of targets.

Robert  - the son of former Newcastle winger Laurent Robert - arrived in Monklands in the summer from Montpellier and has impressed with his flair and goals return, netting four goals in 14 appearances.
