Rangers boss Steven Gerrard hints at change of style as they seek Kilmarnock redemption

Kilmarnock's pitch and the awful weather could lead to a change in Rangers' style of play, admits Steven Gerrard.

The Ibrox gaffer knows he will have a tough night ahead and he hinted that he may switch things up.

He said: “It could possibly be redemption for us at Rugby Park. It’s a big challenge because we’ve always had tough games there.

“People will obviously compare the return from the winter break last season to this because we suffered a sore one at Hearts.

“But for me it’s very much a game in isolation and trying to make sure that the best players are available to go down there.

“Then they’ve got to turn up and perform and if we do, I’m confident we can get the result we got earlier in the season.

“We always have to take the conditions into consideration. It looks as if it might be a bit calmer in comparison to the last couple of days but who knows what it’s going to be like?

“In terms of team selection and how we go about it we have to take the environment and conditions into our thoughts.”
