Charlton forward Karlan Grant is a target for Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.

Grant is out of contract in the summer and Charlton are in talks with the 21-year-old, hoping to convince him to sign a new deal.

But Grant, who has scored 13 goals in League One this season, is free talk to other clubs this month and Gerrard is interested in taking him north of the border.

Meanwhile, the club are prepared to wait before making their fourth and final January signing.

After signing Jonny Williams, Chris Maxwell and Ben Purrington, manager Lee Bowyer is targeting a new forward on loan.

But the Addicks have space for only one more loan signing in their squad and they want to carefully assess their options.

Charlton, who sit just three points off the automatic promotion places in League One, play Accrington at home tomorrow.
