Rangers ban fans who displayed offensive flag and fire strong warning to pyro sinners

Rangers have revealed that fans who displayed an offensive banner en-route to the Europa League clash with Feyenoord will be banned.

And they warned supporters who use pyro that they will receive similar punishment if they can be identified.

Rangers were charged by UEFA for setting off fireworks ahead in the 2-2 draw with Feyenoord and the club are determined to find out who caused the issue.

But they have already identified supporters involved in the offensive flag and have begun the process of stopping them attending matches.

The banner said: "We hate Celtic, f***** b*******" and also identified that they were from Springburn.

And a statement from Rangers said: “We are already in the process of banning two of the individuals for displaying an offensive banner en route to Rotterdam.

"And if we can identify those responsible for setting-off flares, their punishment will be the same."

The club are likely to be fined for the use of pyro in the away end but they did avoid a charge for sectarian singing after chants were heard prior to kick-off in De Kuip.
