Kenny Miller believes Rangers are leading the race to bring Mikey Moore back to Ibrox on loan for another season.
The former striker reckons a return to Glasgow would suit all parties, with Tottenham keen for the teenager to continue his development with regular first-team football.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Miller expects Rangers to be firmly at the front of the queue if Moore becomes available. He said: “I would be surprised if Rangers are not already all over Moore if there's going to be another loan deal for him.
“I would be very surprised if Ibrox wasn't his destination given he spoke so fondly about his time there, how much he enjoyed it and how it's been a really good spell for his development. What a place to be an 18-year-old winger, what a place to be plying your trade.
“He’s got a fanbase that absolutely loves him. He’s familiar in the building and knowing he’s had a really, really good spell, he’ll be aware of what the club expects from him.
"So as I said, I would be surprised if Rangers are not right at the head of that queue to get him back.”
Moore impressed during his stint in Govan, and Miller believes that experience gives Rangers a major advantage over rival suitors. He said: “As a young player, it took him a little bit of time to settle at Ibrox. But then you saw his qualities come through as the season went on.

“He took that spot out wide and made it his own. He started to show a level of consistency which was pretty impressive, so, as I say, it would be surprising if he doesn’t end up back at Ibrox.
“I'm sure there'll be other suitors, but based on the season and the success that he did have this year, as well as the way he spoke about his time at Ibrox, it would be surprising if he isn’t back there next year.”
Miller also highlighted Moore’s fearless approach and believes he would return an even better player if a second loan is agreed. He said: “He played with that kind of youthful thing where you just show. I loved how he’d take the ball, the way he attacked defences.
“He had that kind of youthful exuberance that you often see with young players starting out their careers. You’re not thinking about contracts, you're not thinking about hitting certain numbers, you're just happy you're there, and you're playing, you're getting the opportunity to show that you deserve to get game time.
“As the time went on, I'd say he became one of the first names on the team sheet in that front line. So he’s now experienced the club and everything that goes along with that, so you would expect him to be even better next season having had that year under his belt.
“He knows the club, he knows the fans. I’m sure Rangers are planning for a big summer of recruitment, and they'll be looking to put better players in that starting lineup.
“For me, it makes sense for Mikey to end up back at Ibrox.”
