Rangers B visit will provide record crowd for Caledonian Braves

Caledonian Braves have revealed they will welcome a record crowd to Alliance Park this afternoon for the visit of Rangers B.

Ricky Waddell's men are 10th in the Lowland League standings and host David McCallum's young Gers, who are second in the table and looking to close the 11-point gap on runaway leaders Bonnyrigg Rose.

Braves will be determined to atone for a 3-1 defeat with 10 men when the sides met in October last year at the C&G Systems Stadium in Dumbarton. Juan Alegria, Ross McCausland and Alex Lowry netted for the hosts.

Cameron Breadner saw red in the clash, with Jack Duncan getting on the scoresheet for the Motherwell-based side.

This weekend is the last in which the Scottish Government's restrictions on the number of supporters attending matches will be in force, so no more than 500 fans can attend the clash.

But tickets sales have gone so well, it has already been declared a record attendance for the club formed in 2019.

And Braves have said on their social media limited briefs are likely to be sold at the gate ahead of kick-off at 3pm. Tickets are priced at £6 for adults and £3 for concessions.
