Rangers B geared up for their first ever season in the Lowland League with a 4-2 friendly win over Burnley Under 23s.
The Young Gers took on their English opponents at Auchenhowie in a pre-season fixture this afternoon and racked up the goals in a high scoring encounter.
The first half couldn’t have gone any better for the Ibrox side, who raved into a 3-0 lead with three goals in just nine minutes.
Jake Hastie opened the scoring on 17 minutes before Robbie Ure doubled the advantage two minutes later. The former Motherwell winger faces an uncertain future having struggled to force his way into Steven Gerrard 's first team plans.
It was 3-0 and seemingly game over on 26 minutes as Ure claimed his second.
Burnley then pulled one back from the penalty spot, then cut the deficit to just one goal after the break thanks to Rob Harker.
But Rangers re-established their two-goal cushion through Charlie Lindsay just before the hour mark.
It’s now down to league business this weekend when the Gers face Bo’ness United in the Lowland League at Dumbarton.
