Rangers away day and Hearts vs Hibs picked as Scottish Premiership TV fixtures revealed for September

A number of Scottish Premiership fixtures will be shown live on TV in September – including the return of two mouthwatering city derbies.

And Rangers fans will also be able to follow their side in an away day that month as Steven Gerrard's men continue the title defence.

League broadcasters Sky Sports have revealed the list of fixtures they'll be screening in the second month of the season, following the big kick-off on July 31 and the first Rangers vs Celtic derby clash on August 29.

The Ibrox side travel to face St Johnstone on Saturday, September 11 with a 12.30pm kick-off.

It's Edinburgh's turn to take centre stage a day later Sunday, September 12 as Hearts take on rivals Hibs for the first time since the 2020 Scottish Cup semi-final, with a high noon kick-off.

And just as the capital pair were separated by different leagues over the past year, so too were Dundee and Dundee United until James McPake's men were promoted in a shock play-off success against Kilmarnock.

They'll meet again at Tannadice for the first time since December 2019 on Sunday, September 19. Kick-off is also at 12pm.

Stephen Glass' new-look Aberdeen will travel to Paisley to take on St Mirren on Sunday, September 26 and that match is also live on TV with a noon kick-off.
