Rangers have done well signing players from England in the recent past.
Jack Simpson is their most recent arrival from south of the border, but a good chunk of Steven Gerrard 's squad were sourced from south of the border.
We've seen Connor Goldson arrive from Premier League side Brighton while backup left-back Calvin Bassey came from Leicester.
Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun both signed from the EFL, while even mainstays Allan McGregor, Steven Davis and Scott Arfield - though already well known to the Ibrox side - came from English clubs.
And it seems it's a market Rangers are continuing to utilise.
After fresh links emerged with Blackpool hotshot Jerry Yates, Record Sport have run the rule over the latest batch of talent from down south that could arrive at Ibrox this summer.
Jerry Yates (Blackpool)

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a stunning season for Blackpool since arriving from Swindon in the summer and The72 claim Rangers are 'considering' a move. After 20 goals in 43 games for the League One promotion chasers, it's easy to see why. A move to the Scottish champions would be a big step up, but he's a clinical finisher as well as a hard worker off the ball and looks a good fit to provide some depth to the front line.
Jonson Clarke-Harris (Peterborough)

Peterborough chairman Barry Fry recently confirmed Rangers have been watching their hitman closely, and Ibrox scouts will have been impressed by his return. He's scored 28 times, and while he doesn't put in the sort of defensive work Steven Gerrard typically demands from his strikers, he's a deadly finisher and a demon in the air, so would bring something different to Ibrox. The next Ivan Toney? Celtic must still regret not moving for the Brentford goal machine now.
James Garner (Manchester United)

The Manchester United starlet's agent recently named Rangers among a list of clubs interested in his signature this summer, and while that may have been an attempt to drum up some interest, there's no reason the Ibrox side wouldn't be keen. The holding midfielder has enjoyed a fine season, on loan with Watford and then Nottingham Forest all the while thriving in the Championship, Just 20, he would be a shrewd acquisition from Gerrard - even if it is just on loan. Rangers reaped rewards signing Ryan Kent on loan before turning his move into a £7m permanent deal in 2019.
Kwadwo Baah (Rochdale)

Both Rangers and Celtic were heavily linked with a move for Rochdale winger Baah back in January, but it initially seemed that was off the cards when Manchester City swept in. That move collapsed, though, so his future is up in the air once more. And Rangers could revive their interest in the 18-year-old who has been making waves in League One this season.
