Rangers are a bigger club than Arsenal or Chelsea says Ally McCoist

Ally McCoist says Rangers are a bigger club than Chelsea or Arsenal.

The Ibrox legend has become embroiled in a back-and-forth with Billericay Town manager Jamie O'Hara after O'Hara told talkSPORT listeners that Bournemouth are a "higher profile football team" and said "it’s a bigger job to potentially be the Bournemouth manager."

He called O'Hara's comments "stupid" on the same station this morning, adding: "Have you ever heard anything as ridiculous in your life?"

The debate began thanks to speculation linking Rangers boss Steven Gerrard with the Bournemouth job.

McCoist was today asked on talkSPORT how Rangers compare to numerous other English Premier League stars.

He said they were a bigger club than Fulham, Leeds, Burnley, Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Chelsea, but conceded that "at this moment in time" Manchester City are a bigger club.

O'Hara elaborated on his comments his comments this morning, saying: "As a job, for me, that (Bournemouth) is a better job to take because as a player, or a a manager, to get Bournemouth in the Premier League, where they have been for years, is a bigger job than finishing second in Scotland."
