Rangers announce megastore details as club tease new kit deal announcement

Rangers supporters will be able to shop in the club's Ibrox megastore by next season after the club announced plans to renovate the shop.

The unit had been under the control of Mike Ashley's Sports Direct in recent years due to the ongoing situation between the club and the Newcastle owner.

But Rangers have now revealed they will undertake a major renovation of the area once lockdown restrictions are lifted. Those plans could indicate that a deal has been reached with Sports Direct to end the ongoing problems over the last seven years.

And the club have also teased that they will soon announce their kit deal for next season after their Hummel contract ended.

Steven Gerrard's players have worn Hummel gear for the last two seasons but a new manufacturer will be in place for the beginning of the next campaign.

James Bisgrove told the Rangers website: “The club is incredibly excited to introduce its new kit & retail partner to Rangers supporters world-wide imminently. This represents a clean slate and marks the start of a new era in the club’s commercial retail operations. The partnership will be a significant step forward in Rangers’ recent history.”

Rangers will also continue their partnership with 32Red for next season and have announced that they will be joined by Unibet, who are part of the same group.
