Rangers and Watford speculation haven't impacted Aberdeen star as ace's 'unbelievable' transfer attitude hailed

Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass says Lewis Ferguson is the ultimate example for young players in how to deal with transfer speculation.

The Scotland international - who hails from Hamilton - has been frequently linked to Rangers, most recently at the start of this season.

Premier League side Watford meanwhile had a £2 million bid booted out by the Dons for Ferguson's services - prompting him to hand in a transfer request.

Despite that being batted away, Ferguson has gone on to score 10 times from midfield this season. Fellow Aberdeen stars Calvin Ramsay and Ryan Hedges have also been subject to interest elsewhere.

Glass believes his midfielder from Hamilton - who's also had interest in Italy - has shown how to perform with transfer pressure: "The good thing for us in here is we have an unbelievable example in Lewis Ferguson.

"All the talk that was about and the stuff going on about what might happen – with Lewis you are seeing a top young professional going about his business.

"That is the example you hope everyone follows."
