Rangers and Nottingham Forest eyeing up move for Swansea City free agent - reports

Swedish full-back Martin Olsson is believed to be attracting the interest of Rangers and Nottingham Forest.

According to Swedish outlet Expressen , the two clubs are among a variety of potential suitors for the 31-year old, who is now a free agent after running down his contract at Swansea City.

Fenerbahce have also been linked with move for the Swede, who made 17 appearances in the Championship last season before suffering a long-term injury.

Olsson has so far spent his entire career in England, getting his first-team break at Blackburn Rovers, before a £2million to Norwich City in 2013.

He then joined the Swans for £4million back in 2017, but was powerless to prevent them from being relegated from the Premier League the following season - the fourth top-flight demotion of his career.

Rangers are believed to be in the market for a new left-back, with reports in Scotland suggesting that Borna Barisic is likely to be deemed surplus to requirements at Ibrox.

Forest are similarly looking thin on options for next season and may well be hoping they can persuade Olsson to stay in the Championship for next term, where he would likely line up against his former employers.
