Rangers and Northern Ireland youth star makes Clyde switch

Clyde have snapped up Rangers youth midfielder Cammy Palmer on loan ahead of today's clash at home to Peterhead.

The Northern Ireland under-21 international has joined The Bully Wee on a deal until the end of the season.

Palmer, 20, has recently tasted first team action with Partick Thistle after a loan spell at Firhill in 2019.

Last season he enjoyed a spell out in the United States with Orange County, making 13 appearances and scoring twice in USL Championship.

Bully Wee boss Danny Lennon told the club website: "I'm very pleased and excited to welcome Cameron to Clyde FC.

"He is a talented midfielder who has played with both Scotland and Northern Ireland at international youth level and, as such, I'm sure he will enhance what I believe is an already strong squad here at Clyde.

"Cammy is an exciting prospect and I am pleased he has chosen us to assist in the progression of his career. I look forward to working with him."

Meanwhile, the club also revealed two goalkeepers have gone out on loan.

David Wilson has joined Lowland League BSC Glasgow, while Michael McGee has now moved to West of Scotland Premier side Cumbernauld United.
