Rangers and Celtic linked Siriki Dembele's agent filleted by Peterborough owner in jaw-dropping 'get to f***' blast

Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony has fired a foul-mouthed broadside at the agent of reported Rangers and Celtic target Siriki Dembele, telling him to 'get to f***' on social media platform Instagram.

Dembele is the brother of Parkhead wonderkid Karamoko and has been on the radar of several clubs north and south of the border given his recent form.

He has been a stand out this season, scoring five goals and creating five assists in 19 appearances from midfield as his side aim for promotion.

The 24-year-old now wants to depart the Posh in January and has put in a transfer request but the club's owner says he's going nowhere unless someone meets his valuation.

MacAnthony said: "So obviously we have been contacted by various outlets today about a transfer request that came into us which I woke up to yesterday.

"This is just an agent playing games, this is what they do unfortunately.

"And players always fall for it or go for it, I don't know why they do.

"So yes, the player asked for a transfer request. I didn't expect it and certainly didn't expect it over the weekend.

"It is what it is and we get on with it. Our players, and everyone in League One is for sale and unless we get the right offer nobody is going anywhere.

"That's just the way it is. We have a promotion to win. We need to get on with it and the player needs to be professional and get on with it and the agent needs to get to f***. That's my view on the transfer request."

Peterborough director of football Barry Fry claimed last month that Rangers and the Scotland national team have scouted the star.

He said: “Rangers have watched Siriki twice, as have the Scottish national side.”
