Rangers and Celtic get Europa League travel boost after UEFA allow Seville and Prague trips

Rangers and Celtic fans have been handed a Euro travel boost after the blanket ban on away supporters was lifted.

UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League matches this season have so far been played in front of home fans only.

But now that the group stages have been drawn, Fan Europe have confirmed that the governing body will allow punters to travel to watch their teams from next week.

That opens up a Seville return for Celtic fans with Real Betis away in the first of their Group G fixtures this month.

Bayer Leverkusen and Ferencvaros are the other two sides in the group so Germany and Hungary could also be on the cards.

Rangers fans can now head to the Czech Republic to see Steven Gerrard’s men take on Sparta Prague in their first away game, with trips to Denmark to face Brondby and Lyon in France also on the agenda.

Respective travel restrictions regulations will still apply so supporters have been reminded to check relevant Government travel advice.
