The long road out of lockdown will take a spectacular turn for one Ayrshire playwright this Friday – when his show plays to thousands in Glasgow.
Jerry Taylor will stage the first Scottish produced play at the SEC Armadillo since the lifting of Covid restrictions.
More than 2000 briefs have already been sold for Singin' I'm No A Billy He's A Tim 2.
The play, written by Des Dillon, saw Jerry take the reins as producer in 2019 for a hugely successful nationwide tour.
And it's hotly anticipated return to Glasgow this weekend can't come soon enough for a cast and team kept off stage during the last 18 months.
Jerry, 38, told Ayrshire Live: "We were three weeks from the show hitting the stage in 2020 when Covid came along.

"To say it's been a long 18 months since then would be putting it mildly.
"At times you did think to yourself...are we ever going to get back on a stage?
"It's been a dark period for everyone, no matter their walk of life, but for our industry it definitely did feel hard to see light at the end of the tunnel.
"So to be here now is fantastic – people are bouncing into rehearsals and we can't wait to be in front of a live audience again."
Jerry, of Ayr, admits this will be a special show, coming a decade on from his very first production in his hometown.
He said: "It's 10 years ago that I put on my show 'Statistics' above Ayr's Market Inn.
"I think something like 40 people turned up and I was just delighted with that.
"To be going to a venue like the Armadillo 10 years on with an iconic show like Billy and Tim is the stuff dreams are made of."
The show stars Jerry, Neil Bratchpiece, John Love and Natalie McConnon.
