Callum Davidson admits he has concerns about Rangers and Celtic ditching the Scottish football after the European Super League bombshell.
The St Johnstone boss admits there is "always a fear" of the biggest teams walking away from their domestic leagues after the European big guns revealed their controversial plot.
So far Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are on board, as are Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico, Inter and AC Milan.
Despite the threat of stern action by UEFA and fans across the globe voicing their anger at the proposal it has sent shockwaves through the game.
The Perth Saints boss reckons that if Glasgow giants were asked to join the set-up and took up the offer it would be a major blow to the Scottish game.
When asked about the ESL at his press conference he said: "There is always a fear of teams breaking away from their leagues, which is basically where the bread and butter is and where the supporters can watch the games.
"For me, it’s a really difficult one. Is it right? I don’t know. I don’t really know the answer to that.
"I think if they took it up here in Scotland, and Rangers and Celtic decided to leave, I think it would cause a massive gap in Scottish football. I can only really relate it to that."
